Book Review: Hostage by Jamie Begley

Title: Hostage

Author: Jamie Begley

Edition: Kindle

Hotness: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Synopsis: The Enforcer’s Oath: Protect the club at all costs.

Jackal made an enemy out of Penni when he kidnapped her years ago. He let her go, never imagining she would take a piece of his soul with her. Now protecting Penni against a former brother will force him to place the club against her once again.

She may be the Hostage, but he’s the one held captive by the lust she refuses to admit binds them together.

She thinks The Last Riders and another man will be all the protection she needs to end the tug of war between them. However, he’s never lost a battle, especially against a tiny blonde with an attitude, begging him to teach her that her place is under him.

To end the battle, he’s going to have to reclaim the piece of soul she stole from him or claim a part of her soul as prisoner.

When a predator takes you hostage, you’re his forever

I knew there was a reason that I love Jamie Begley's work. Hostage, Predators MC #3, passed my expectations. I've followed Jamie from the beginning. I've lived through all The Last Riders while they found and fought with the love of their lives. I've watched Ice and Max from the Predators as they also found and fought with the love their lives. But Jackal? I've been waiting for his and Penni's story since the first time they met. And if you've followed Jamie and her books from the beginning, you know exactly when that moment was. There was just something about the both of them that had my heart racing in excitement for when I got to hear their story. This is their tale of love, family, betrayal and intrigue. We're introduced early into the story to the Road Kingz. I won't give to much out about it or them so I don't spoil it but the Prez is someone from Jackal and Ice's past. Do I smell another series?

We also get to see some of our favorite people from all the other books as well which is a huge plus for me.
Penni, as we've seen previously, has a major attitude problem when it comes to Jackal. She bites, scratches, and hisses when she's cornered or pissed off. She's a Wildcat. She's feisty. She's also just a flat out psycho bitch. She doesn't take shit from anyone, including the man she's with. I've seen her whoop men's and women's butt in this story. I didn't think having two crazy bitches in one story could work but it turned out well.
I was cheering from the sidelines. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰

But you also get to see the softer side of her. The side that she don't show many people. That's what made me fall in love with her. 😍
Jackal, I wasn't too sure about at first. It didn't take me long to warm up to him. Not long at all. I could tell he had some serious feelings for Penni. Feelings he wouldn't be shaking for a while. But as per usual, when it comes to the club, there was drama. These biker men and their oaths.
This drama brings along heartache, betrayal and a pissed off woman hell bent on taking down those that made her that way. πŸ˜‰
I loved everything about this book. From the first page all the way to the last. I was sad when I reached the ending because I didn't want to see them go. But I'm content because I know I'll see some of them again.

Good job Mrs. Begley on another superb book!

  1. Great review, Amanda! I've read to read any MC romance but this sounds like a great series. I'll have to go look up the first book and check it out. Glad you enjoyed this one so much!

    1. Thank you! They really are a great series Tanya! They can be pretty naughty so if you don't really care for that kind of stuff they probably won't be a good choice. But I've enjoyed them from the very first book. Madeline Sheehan also has a good MC series as well.
