Synopsis:
Indecent Proposal

Manwhore. That's what the board of directors-and the tabloids-thinks of billionaire bachelor Reese Crane. Ordinarily he couldn't care less, but his playboy past is preventing the board from naming him CEO of Crane Hotels. Nothing-and no one-will keep him from his life's legacy. They want a settled man to lead the company? Then that's exactly what he'll give them.

Merina Van Heusen will do anything to get her parents' funky boutique hotel back-even marry cold-as-ice-but-sexy-as-hell Reese Crane. It's a simple business contract-six months of marriage, absolute secrecy, and the Van Heusen is all hers again. But when sparks fly between them, their passion quickly moves from the boardroom to the bedroom. And soon Merina is living her worst nightmare: falling in love with her husband . . .

What happens when the Board of Directors uses your manwhore reputation as an excuse to prevent you from attaining CEO? You blackmail a female into becoming your wife, of course!
Reese Crane has a dilemma. He's wanting the CEO position of Crane Hotels after his father retires. He's earned it. But there is a problem. The Board of Directors and the tabloids all think Reese is a Manwhore. Which he is. He's known for his penchant for one-night stands and no repeats. And for good reason. But with his playboy past getting in the way of what HE wants he's gonna give them exactly what THEY want. A settled man.
Enter Merina Van Huesen. She's fiery and passionate. She's elegant and intelligent.

“Merina is tough, but also soft,” he said , dragging his thoughts back on course. “She dresses like a lady, handles herself like a woman, and doesn’t allow anyone to boss her around.”

But the most important thing? Reese just bought her parents' funky boutique hotel. Merina loves her parents. And that charming hotel. So it goes without saying, she'll do anything to get it back. Even marry Reese Crane. The workaholic, closed off, cold-as-ice, sexy as hell billionaire.

“He needed someone who was his opposite yet equal. He needed someone who could handle pressure elegantly, even while using the word horseshit. He needed Merina Van Heusen.”

A six month business contract. Marriage. Absolute secrecy and at the end of the six months the hotel is all hers again.
Love wasn't suppose to be in the equation. But you can't control the heart no matter how much you try to. Neither Reese nor Merina want that pesky emotion because they've both been burned by it before. BAD. But as the saying goes, the heart wants what the heart wants.
I loved watching the story unfold with these two. Their insecurities felt REAL. Their feelings felt REAL. THEY FELT REAL!
They weren't just some boring flat characters in some random story. They felt like real humans living real billionaire lives.
The chemistry between these two was combustible.

“Please, oh please,” she panted now, begging for release. Thrusting against his face, with one hand on the wall for leverage and the other on the back of his head as she guided him. Greedy. Demanding. He couldn’t get enough.

They may have ran hot and cold with each other but they could count on their attraction to help pull off the pretend marriage.
The writing and storyline was executed flawlessly and kept you entertained from the beginning to the end. This is my first story by Jessica Lemmon and I.REGRET.NOTHING!!

I will continue this series because I fell in love with the Crane guys and I want to follow their lives into the future.

I received a copy from Net Galley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation with the publisher or author.
